Tamarindo Airport
1993
Tamarindo Airport was born with the purpose of connecting the Central Valley with Zone II of Guanacaste, a sector well known for its beaches—especially Tamarindo Beach, celebrated for its economic, commercial, tourism, and cultural development, as well as its unforgettable sunsets.
Currently, the airline SANSA (Avianca) operates approximately four to six daily flights between Tamarindo and Juan Santamaria International Airport, its main hub, allowing many travelers to conveniently connect with international flights.
